Pedro considers possible move to Manchester United.

At the beginning of April there were reports in Spainthat Manchester United had already contacted Barcelona’s Pedro and offered him big money to make the move to Old Trafford.
It wasn’t the first time.In December there were rumours in Spain about a possible Barcelona exit for Pedro. It coincided with the game against Athetic Club Bilbao. The Spanish international had been playing well but despite Lionel Messi being injured and despite Barcelona really needing a goal, Pedro only came on in the 85th minute of a 1-0 loss.
That prompted the Catalan press to speculate that Pedro was perhaps being treated unfairly and could therefore look to leave Barcelona before his contract expires in June 2016. The rumours were picked up by the British media and The Mirrorsaid that Manchester United were one of the clubs interested but that a January transfer was unlikely.
Tata Martino perhaps got the hint and Pedro started 5 of the next 6 games, scoring an impressive 8 goals. He’s been one of Barcelona’s best players so far this season and it caused anger in some sections of the Catalan sport press when Neymar started ahead of Pedro against Real Madrid recently.
Despiite claims that he’d be signing a new deal soon, it hasn’t happened yet and that has prepared the ground for further speculation. Barcelona’s current crisis may be largely solved with victory over Real Madrid on Wednesday night but the press vultures are circling and one of those is self styled agent Francois Gallardo. His latest claims have been picked up throughout Europe, including Spain, Italy and France ( Le10), and the gist is that Pedro wants out.
A huge attention seeker and often a fantasist, Gallardo reckons that Pedro is angry. Well, not just angry, but very angry. He feels unfairly treated and as a consequence will be off in the summer to either Manchester United, PSG, or another club willing to show him some love.
Whilst Gallardo isn’t to be trusted as far as he could be thrown, the approach would make sense. Pedro is 26 and his contract ends in 2016, he’d get a much better offer from Manchester United. He’s a goal scoring wide player who would certainly add something to the Manchester United attack, his total of 18 goals so far this season far outweighs anything on offer from the Old Trafford wings.
Born in Tenerife, Pedro hasn’t got the same umbilical cord connection to Barcelona as some of his teammates and he may think it’s better for this career, and his bank balance, if he makes a move.
